The Malvern Stag
This is a small 15" bronze relief patinated in various colours. The Stag against a pear tree is from the Malvern Hills District council coat of arms. John McKenna modelled this Stag emblem in clay and it was lost wax cast in bronze for Andrew Findlay.
The cast Stag was incorporated into a larger feature sign created by the artist blacksmith Andrew Findlay. The signage Andrew created were entrance features to the town of Bernards Green at Malvern Chase, in Worcestershire.
Andrew made many such features throughout the Malvern district. His iron and copperwork grace many stately homes and public spaces throughout the United Kingdom.
